A tool used to speedread the internet web in order to find patterns or waves of behaviour. This tool is believed to be able to forecast the future based on the web surfing habits of the information generation. The WebBot conceptualizes a future pattern of behaviour based on the new and recent psychological queries of the masses. This to some might appear to be a type of AI ( artificial intelligence ). How can a computer find reason in patterns. The WebBot has predicted some events with a level of accuracy that warrant serious consideration. The data collected from the WebBot has been used in financial markets where greed and fear of the masses is known to drive price volatility. The WebBot locates certain words and from that focus point it reaches out into the information universe to quantify the word against other relevant words. This is beginning to sound alot like quantum digestion. Has the processing speed of information continues to increase will the WebBot be able to feed itself. In other words will it become a thinking machine able to process reasonable abstract images and realities. If the machine does program itself from the information on the web then how would those decisions effect society.
We all know that the internet is full of errors. Anyone can write anything at anytime.
Perhaps in a future world the internet will no longer be a public domain or perhaps the public domain will not be available to a machine that is able to program itself.
How factual should the information be for the Robot to be able to make sane decisions without having a sane programmer in charge. Would you put your trust in a teacher or leader that was getting it's education in an asylum. The asylum in this case is the entire web library. It has it's moments of brilliance but in the end it is already corrupted with less than accurate data.

The WebBot project should be able to make a good guess a prediciting stock prices, in general, because they are driven by human behaviour, fears (rational and irrational), etc ...
However, unless human behaviour determines the future, because we change it to suit what we expect (a self fullfilling prophecy), then no - the WebBot cannot predict coming cataclysms - spritual or physical - unless of course those cataclysms are those which are to be expected, or they are man-made. Global warming is a good example of a man made potential disaster. Man is driving the process through his lack of drive in pursuit of cleaner energy sources, which are of course not cheap :)
But predicting that the poles will shift on 12/31/2012 is unpredictable as a result of human fears. We cannot subconsciously cause the poles to shift, and if we can, we should freakin' stop :) That I could accept, that we could collectively cause something to occur - maybe - but we certainly can't fortell it.
And it was well known by Chinese and Mayans, and all those folks with the same date - that the center of the galaxy lines up with earth and sun on 12/21/2012 - or thereabouts. These alignments happen regularly. Nothing so far. :) And Chinese and Mayan writers of those books were nuts about astronomy and astrology - not surprising they picked the same date.

This event only happens once every 25,800 years. I'm pretty sure that's well before any type of recorded history.

It's funny how the spirit works, just this morning i was thinking about the effects that an event such as something like a revelation where suddenly our computers are able to tap into the programs of cosmic knowledge, ie, the computers of aliens who may have been using highly advanced computers to record our history (millions of years worth of it). These divya cycles, if one follows Brahman beliefs, are very short periods relative to the cosmic calendar. Perhaps the real deal behind 2012 could be a quantum leap through that type of communcication advancement. The web bot would then be just a beginning. Once the bot was plugging into the cosmic library then perhaps something drastic along the lines of holographs would permeate the reality we know as reality.
Just a thought though as i am certain EZ has his own answer to your comment about "regular".

Hey everyone! I just got into this and it all seams very interesting. I can't help but believe in this doomsday 12212012. The shifting of the poles is a scientific fact and there is no doubt that things will change drastically here on earth. I guess we humans have it coming. We haven't exactly been the best inhabitants of our planet with all the wars, global warming, and all that bad stuff. I'm just glad that there are people like all of you in my time that are open to radical ideas like this one and give it consideration. Good luck to all...

I'm not certain what to make of 2012 myself Deepak. There are obviously scientific truths that cannot be denied, for example the Venus Transit and the Galactic Alignment, and the winter solstice will occur on December 21 just like it does every year. It's only special because it coincides with the other phenoms. There are so many things happening all at once that it's hard not to think that something big is about to occur - is occuring.
I'm currently reading Whitley Strieber's 2012 novel and almost every aspect that anonymous before you refers to as things to come according to the Atman is covered in the book.
IMHO it's not a cultural thing as much as much as all belief systems coming together.
My own 2012 belief is that there will eventually be a stargate that will open up and allow these ancestors from other dimensions back into the realm that we know. There is much talk about the precession of the equinoxes and the alignment of the earth, the sun, and the galactic core. When this happens then the thirteenth zodiac or the constellation Ophiucus comes into play. This is mentioned in the discovery channel documentary on Nostradamus. What they don't mention however, is that beyond Ophiucus is a constellation called Serpens. To me, if there is an alien past in our being then it started between Serpens Cauda and Serpens Caput. Probably something along the lines of a war in Heaven between Lucifer and Gabriel, or the Eastern Indian equivalent, or the mesoamerican equivalent of Quetzalcoatl and Taztaclipoca.
The Ophiucus legend is interesting in that the lords are at war over the secret immortality.
Ophiucus is also interesting in that it represents the serpent holder in the medical symbol. At times there is one serpent (serpens) represented on the staff and in the western world usually two serpents.
As you might understand in a scenario where immortality is involved and powerful agents such as Lucifer and Gabriel are involved that there would be extreme violence and human casualty.
But it's all fiction....so don't worry yourself over 2012.

In some things I agree with all of you guys; I think that the end of the world is a misconception; the real end of the world is when your body achieves the state of non-matter for now possible through ascention and death, but in reality what mayan cosmology depict is just a very important aligment of the milkey way, exactly the 21 of dec of 2012, in my opinion this date is of enormous significance, since I truly believe that for that exact day the systems of mass control such as education, government, religion, media, are gonna fall due to many factors that i'm not quite sure yet; what i know for sure is that we are waking up to that and the only chance to adapt to the change is find the light deep inside of us.

I for one will not be sat at home on december 21st 2012 awaiting for the end of the world, the apocalypse or anything similar.
I will be found either in the high street christmas shopping (as I do every year)

I will be lying on a Carribean beach being attended to by a gorgeous man (this being a wild dream of mine if & when I won the pools, lottery or left a nice sum of money by a distant relative)
Life will carry on as usual for me as it will for each & everyone of us. If you want to go ahead & believe in the wild ramblings of someone who lived all those years ago then thats your own choice. As long as what you do, think feel etc is being guided by your own free will then you are the only one who can be held responsible for your own actions.

I'm reading a book by Isaac Asimov called Foundation's Edge. It's the 4th or 5th book in the Foundation series. In it, a universe exists where artificial intelligence ultimately transcends our own space and time and becomes our guardian(s), like robot angels or something.
wow, if you have not researched the 2012 topic with its 1000s of books, videos and researchers then don't post your thoughts about something you dont know anything about. It's just plain ignorant. Personally after many years of reading and watching videos about this subject 2012 is going to be an extraordinary event. People are so caught up in there "fake" live's that the truth is largely ignored. 2012 truthers are not just a couple of hundred people, we are a couple of hundred million who are educated both intellectually and spiritually and understand that this event is not only going to happen but it will be our next stage in an evolutionary jump, mind, body and soul. 2012 is not doomsday or end the the world but the beginning of a golden age. Personally, I think we should all try to improve our ways and be better care takers of our planet. We are all aware of how our actions are affecting our planet. I don't see anything wrong with preparation just in case we do have a 2012 issue. I plan on and am preparing in moderation as well as will have my family around that week, just in case. We have been discussing moving to an area where the probability of survival would be higher (we live in Central Florida, USA) and have devoted a little time each week collecting data, obtaining provisions, and creating an emergency plan. On the other hand; we are not going to allow the subject to become our sole objective in life for the next three years. Although I can say that the awareness of the matter has made me choose to appreciate my blessings and the blessing all around me provided by the Earth all the more! Yes change is inevitable; nevertheless if we collectively act now we can make a difference. I read in one of the posts above the mention of liberal tree huggers. Perhaps we should all be a little more inclined to hug a tree, take a shorter shower, and cut off that extra light. Food for thought!

Thank you for your thought on my thought. I am not blaming anyone as we do not have enough information to presume to know the cause of everything to come in 2012, should anything come at all? (Believe me I would prefer the latter...)
However, this is the only planet we have and we'd have to be a caveman (or cavewoman) to NOT be good stewards to Earth. There is a rather uncouth saying about never pooping where you eat... (Perhaps this would be a better way to explain it to you.????)
Further, I think it is extremely foolish to be a member of the unprepared majority, not to mention; too regrettably think someone would intentionally go through life proclaiming, “Communistic remarks” concerning the plethora of information available about global warming; especially at this point in the information game!
Anyway, we prepare for hurricanes down here in Florida every year. Does this make us foolish? Nope, maybe just a little better off than the poor souls who perished from being unprepared during hurricane Katrina. If I recall correctly, the majority of the population who could financially afford to evacuate during that “storm” who chose not to evacuate did so out of a failure to pay attention to the warnings presented by the media, internet, newspapers, Al Gore, the prophets, CNN, The Weather Channel, and even the local authorities.
P.S. The reference above in no way implies that I am referring to you as a cave person albeit you did mention living in the artic circle and have made narrow minded remarks on this website.
BTW, more information on your areas climate issues may be found by conducting a simple Google search listing: artic circle warming - you'd really be suprised by what the scientific community is saying...

After readng all the comments, I am glad to see that there is not as much fear about the future. Fear is the last thing we need. The planetary alignment has already begun. The 2012 predictions I believe point to an end of life as we have known it. I think the sleepers, 90-percent of the world, will be unprepared and thus eliminated in a short time. The most important thing for those of us left will be to make sure that the world does not go the way it has this time. Our nations war, our children starve, the rich become super rich, our government and really our whole way of life is based on corruption and lies. What we have to do for example is prevent a company exec getting a million dollar bonus while a mile away a child dies from malnutrition or disease. In the new world when we see these things pop up again, we must stomp them out before human nature takes its usually rough road and leads us again to where we are today.

It certainly does look like something major is in the making doesn't it. Though I write alot about 2012 I don't necessarily subscribe to the end of the world 2012 hype. I am not saying that it won't happen but I just don't feel confident enough to put all my chips in the pot just yet.
You are so right about the way sin draws us into corruption. I am no better than those who accept the million dollar golden parachutes since I might be taken by the natural tendencies of humans to experiment with sin and take the money if the roles were reversed.
I understand sin now like I never did before. I know what is meant by "we are all sinners".
Many people abhor the word sin since it has religious connotations but even if the Bible had never been written we would all still be victims of the psychological factors which draw us towards greed, sloth, avarice, etc.
It isn't sin that is the problem. It is the sickness of those who choose to push sins to their extreme in order to gain power for themselves on this rock that is the problem.
We all do it to some extent. Maybe this rock which is most likely Tartarus of the Greek legends ( hell were the fallen angels have been cast out to )is just a place to test us to see which one of us can cut the discipline needed to return to a higher density or return to where we once were before being cast out.
It's all a very big mystery isn't it.
The thing about doing a better job of what is left after the collapse...well I think hell will still be Tartarus after the fact if the 2012 act produces the fact. And if it takes one thousand generations to rebuild the entire human civilization then I would bet that the same natural tendency to push sin to the extreme will once again push that future society into a final end time scenario.
